OBJECTIVES OF THE CONFERNCE

4.1 Overall Objective:

The overall objective of the conference was to identify the right leadership among the women of Sudan, Such as the parliamentarians, Legislators, women leaders of political parties, women entrepreneurs, and engage them in brainstorming sessions. Such and endeavor enabled to devise means to build their confidence and capacity to provide effective leadership and management at all levels of their engagement.

4.2 Specific objectives

4.2.01 To empower the women of Sudan, especially the leadership among them with qualities to head their respective areas of activity, sharpening the leadership qualities and skills so as to enable them to effectively influence and mobilize the stakeholders.

4.2.02. To empower the women leadership in various political parties to excel in the management of their respective parties to do justice to the post they hold and to meet the expectations of their members and party functionaries.

4.2.03. To prepare the women leaders to effectively influence the electorate, especially the women and mobilize them during election campaigns during the run-up to the elections.

4.2.04. To identify the areas and means to build the capacity of women to grapple with the emerging social, political and economic situation in the areas of their activities and participation.

4.2.05. To empower the women members of parliaments and legislative Assemblies to understand their rights and to be effective in the discharge of their duties in keeping with the best of the democratic principles so as to set a high standard of value based politics.

4.2.06. To identify and assist the capacity building process of women with qualities of entrepreneurship so as to strengthen their business acumen and project their leadership model for others to emulate.

4.2.07. To sensitize the women of Sudan about the rights conferred upon them and the corresponding duties so that they can effectively acquire and sharpen their capacities to tackle relevant social and political issues at all circumstances in the best interest of the all-round advancement of the society and sustainable peace in th post-conflict peace building situation.
